The Kampenwand Pension (short info).
In the heart of Frasdorf in 1939 Anton and Karolina Bruckner bought a house and turned it into a Pension this is known as today's Kampenwand Pension. Because it lies centrally it is and always has been loved by the guests.
All 9 rooms have showers, some have a wc a sat-tv. and some also have a balcony facing south with a view of the mountains. The cosily furnished breakfast come lounge room and the south facing terrace with it's garden are always well used by our guests.
In the village there are some local restaurants who also cater for the well being of our guests.
They offer a wide range of variety from a hearty Bavarian meal, the much loved Italian meal, right up to a first class restaurant.
The children won't feel left out, there is a playground for them. In the nearby exhibition play ground (made by the company Richter- Spielgeräte) the adults have been known to turn into children there too. The children can do all the things that they perhaps couldn't do on their journey here.
This leaves the parents with time to enjoy maybe, a glass of wine or a cool bier with other guests, to relax in the Bavarian atmosphere.
Only then can the best days of the year be enjoyable and be well remembered.
By choosing Frasdorf as your holiday resort, you have chosen a resort that has retained it's rural character. It's in the foot hills of the western Chiemgauer mountains (Kampenwand, Sagberg, Reisenberg and Hochries).
From Frasdorf you can reach Prien and Lake Chiem( with the fairytale castle of king Ludwig 2nd) or the Wendelstein that lies in Inntal, in just a few minutes. Frasdorf is seen as the ideal starting point between Munich and Salzburg, Kufstein and Wasserburg. Rosenheim is one of the most southern districts in Germany, the main town being Rosenheim. It is also known as one of the most pleasant districts for the travellers and cyclists, bordering directly onto the beautiful neighbouring land of Tirol. It is well worth taking a trip there too.
Reaching your destination by car:
You can reach Frasdorf by car on the motorway A-8 Munich -Salzburg. Take the exit Frasdorf (Nr 105) and drive to the middle of the village. Past the church you will then come to a junction with a pedestrian crossing with traffic lights, turn right at this junction. After about 200mtrs you will see a post office, the Raiffeisen bank and a yellow telephone box on the right hand side. Your destination the Kampenwand Pension is just after these on the right.
Reaching your destination by train
The two train stations that come into question for your destination are, Rosenheim and Prien. From here you have the choice of taking a bus, taxi or you can make arrangements with us to reach your destination.
